If you have been visiting the site lately (all two of you), you may have noticed the old Brian’s Cube theme appearing and disappearing.  You may have also noticed that when the old theme was there, it was pretty much broken.  Well, I have started to get use to the Wordpress theme tags, and I have now re-launched my old look and feel.

I cannot guarantee that the theme is without bugs, though I tried my best in testing it.  If you see a problem, leave a comment and I will fix it as quickly as possible.  I will also be adding new features (which are old features since the default theme I was using had them) like search as time allows.  I also plan on sprucing up the page a bit with some more color and some of my photos.  Until then, enjoy.

I sat down tonight to look at rewriting my old template to work with Wordpress. In the end though, I really didn’t have the attention span for it. So instead I decided to just add a new plugin. Since I started posting photos, I decided to add the stimuli.ca Lightbox2 plugin. From now on my posts will have a thumbnail of the photo and you will have to click it to see the full version.

To show off the new feature I am posting a photograph I took on Friday night. While Lori was out with the girls, I decided to go downtown and shoot St. John’s at night. The following was taken from the base of the South Side hills looking North.

Okay, so I broke down and changed to WordPress. Blogger didn’t have all the features I wanted (like categories), but I didn’t want to move until I finished my own WP Template. That however has not happened, and I am not sure when I will have the time or want to finish one, so I decided to just go for it. Now I just have to blog more.

So, I have gotten a few complaints that my blog is not updated regularly. As you can tell from the dates on my posts, those people are right. So in order to alleviate the annoyance of loading my page to find out that nothing is new, I have added a site feed. If you use Firefox (and you should), click the feed icon on the bottom right corner and a it to your bookmarks.

Okay, I’m almost done with the website changes. I finally have a layout and color scheme that I like. The title bar I can do without (it’s was a place holder for an old color scheme), but I have a couple ideas for a good one. This along with the addition of material I had on my old site will be added in due time. I will also be updating the blog a little more often. I’ve said this before, but I really wanted to to get the site design done first and that took a little longer than I had planned. Now that I have it done, I have no excuses.
